Teraq develops distributed quantum machine learning (QML) and hybrid quantum and classical products for defense, sensing, and industrial buyers. This role owns end-to-end delivery for QML initiatives in the Swiss and European footprint: from problem framing and dataset readiness through training scale-up, simulator and hardware evaluation gates, and release milestones.
What you will do
- Drive end-to-end delivery for QML programs: framing, data readiness, training scale-up, evaluation on simulator and hardware, and release milestones.
- Align research, ML engineering, platform, and partners on hybrid-loop deliverables (classical optimizers, parameterized circuits and ansatze, metric gates).
- Institutionalize benchmark harnesses and regression suites so status is expressed in ML terms: quality, cost, wall clock - not only task lists.
- Coordinate with customer and partner stakeholders on pilots, acceptance criteria, and responsible claims for regulated buyers.
What we are looking for
- 7+ years in technical / engineering program management in aerospace, defense technology, industrial AI, or quantum software.
- Fluent English; able to read ML experiment design and program risk trade-offs with engineering and executives.
- Track record shipping complex technology in multi-party environments.
Preferred
- Quantum computing background grounded in established quantum computing research programs is strongly preferred; ideally at least a master's degree in quantum computing or a closely related field (for example quantum information science, quantum engineering, or physics).
- Familiarity with Swiss/EU procurement and public-sector or dual-use contexts.
- Prior QML or HPC/ML infrastructure programs; comfort with simulation-led milestone planning before hardware.
Location and travel
Base in the Zurich-Basel-Lausanne corridor, or willingness to travel regularly within Switzerland; EU travel expected for partners and customers.
